Whole Foods Market comming to Marlboro

Whole Foods Market, whose Middletown location is shown here, will open in Marlboro next year.
Whole Foods Market is coming to Marlboro, township officials said.
The natural and organic retailer has signed a lease for 40,000 square feet in the 120,000-plus-square-foot Marlboro Commons retail center, at Routes 9 and 520, Mayor Jonathan Hornik said. At least 130 new jobs will be created when the store opens in 2012.
Marlboro Township has added nearly 491,000 square feet of new commercial ratables since January 2008, which will add about $500,000 in new annual tax revenue to Marlboro's coffers, according to a news release from the mayor's office.
Other leases in the shopping center are still under negotiation, according to the release.
